My spirit was pricked by this drama avoidance message. I appreciate the tool question "What am I not wanting to feel here?". I actually took a breath of relief when you restated the scenario. I felt the air clear after the husband was able to verbalize his insecurity when he perceived what he cared about was not important to his wife. Establishing dignity in a life is more difficult than that, although it IS helpful in some cases just to know of personhood and its accompanying value, dignity.
